This is a great location for walking and in our case walking our dog. There is a nice walk to Leek from Rudyard Lake as well as a more energetic walk round the lake. There are many places to visit in the area e.g. Leek, Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock. If you have children there is a private field overlooked from the cabins and is enclosed so is safe. The Rudyard Hotel is a short walk from the cabins and serves a carvery all day as well as bar meals.

The lodge was gorgeous inside, very modern and had everything you could need inside. Hot tub was fantastic, perfect size for all four of us. The site itself is situated very close to the lake, when sitting in the hot tub you can look out onto the lake, bliss! Only thing I would change about the holiday is the weather as we had typical English rain for most of the weekend.

Accommodation was luxurious, comfortable and a high standard of equipment and products. All cleaning products (even for dishwasher) provided something not usually done in self-catering accommodation. Hot tub superb to relax in at the end of a day full of sightseeing.

This was our second visit to Rudyard Lake lodges. Its only 50 miles from where we live, but it is a different world. A lovely unspoilt spot, with a wonderful hot tub and walking and cycle paths on the doorstep.

A rgeat holiday. The lodge was beautifully furnished and up to date, and the hot tub was a joy even in January in the snow! We will be booking again for the summer!

The location of these lodges is perfect for walking and biking, and the lake is literally 30 seconds from the lodges. The town is very close but the lodges still have a very secluded feel.

A fantastic Lodge that I would recommend to anyone. We took two dogs with us who loved the space and the location was idyllic. The best British holiday we've ever had - we will definitely go back.

I have already recommended this to others. It is a lovely place - easy to get to Rudyard lake, where there is walking, cycling, boating and a small steam railway. The accommodation is very good - we particularly enjoyed the log burning stove and the hot tub.

HAVE JUST HAD A FANTASTIC WEEK AT RUDYARD LAKE,STAYED IN THE MEADOVIEW LODGE,LODGE WAS CLEAN SPACIOUS AND EQUIPPED TO A VERY HIGH STANDARD.EXCELLENT BASE FOR ALTON TOWERS ONLY 20 MINUTES DRIVE THROUGH LOVELY COUNTRYSIDE.WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY,WE HAVE BOOKED TODAY FOR 2010 ,PARK SETTING IS PEACEFUL WITH LAKE A SHORT WALK AWAY,HOT TUB WAS LOVELY AFTER ALTON TOWERS ,THANK YOU FOR A RELAXING BREAK AWAY.
We have just had a fantastic week at Rudyard Lakes, we stayed in the Meadowview Lodge which was clean, spacious and equipped to a very high standard. An excellent base for Alton Towers, which is only a 20 minute drive through lovely countryside. The park setting is peaceful with the lake a short walk away, and the hot tub was lovely after Alton Towers. I would highly recommend it to friends and family and we have booked for next year! Thank you for a relaxing break away.

Ruyard Lake Lodges was a lovely experience with lovely views and lodges are out of this world with all mod-cons and a superb hot tub. Highly recommended and we will be back!!

If you love the countryside its perfect and central to everything you might need or want to do. There is a great view of the lake from the lodge and the hot tub is ace! Old or young you can't fail to enjoy!

A lovely relaxing place if you want to get away from it all. It is situated by a huge lake and surrounded by woodland and fields. The lodges look gorgeous outside and in, and very well equipped and spacious. Highly recommend a lodge with a hot tub!
